It’s not long till the entrance exams for independent schools in Stockport, Manchester and the surrounding areas – applications have to be in by mid-December, and the exams are in January. You have to act even sooner for the state-funded grammar schools in Trafford – for example St Ambrose’s closing date for applications is 31st August and their exams are in September.
